Hi, I'm J. Robert P.—a writer, a father, and a firm believer in the power of storytelling.

I started creating these books as a way to work through my own emotions. Somewhere between the pages, the monsters I imagined became more than characters—they became reflections of the feelings we all face but often struggle to name. Through these stories, I’ve found comfort, perspective, and a way to say, “You’re not alone.”

As a parent of two incredible kids, I think often about the emotional world we pass down to the next generation. I want my children—and anyone who reads my books—to know that feelings like anxiety, imposter syndrome, or self-doubt are part of being human. More importantly, those feelings can be understood, managed, and even befriended.

I don’t come to this work with any official training or clinical background. What I do bring is a deep curiosity, lived experience, and a desire to help others feel seen through the lens of silly, heartfelt, and sometimes hauntingly honest stories.

Whether you're here to laugh, reflect, or simply meet the monsters of your emotions—I’m glad you’ve found your way to my work. I hope it connects with something real in you, just as it has for me.

Thanks for being here.
